Ecotourism Australia (EA) is a non-profit organization focused on inspiring environmentally sustainable and culturally responsible tourism. The program was started in 1996 and was created with collaboration and consultation by academics, industry experts, environmental scientists, and tourism operators. It designs and delivers certification programs for tourism products and destinations and represents more than 500 environmentally responsible ecotourism operators and 1,600 products and an ever-increasing number of ecotourism destinations.
